Welcome to Primary Four

Primary 4 will be a very special year for us as we will be making our First Holy Communion. Each Monday we go to mass in preparation for our sacrament.

On Friday, 7th April we will have an Enrolment assembly in school. This assembly is also part of our preparation for First Holy Communion. We are looking forward to this next step in our preparations.

We have recently finished a topic on Polar Regions. We had fun trying to grow ice and investigating which material conducts heat best. We also had a go at building an igloo which proved to be a longer and more difficult task than we had expected. We had great fun knocking what we had built down! Thanks to everyone who helped us gather milk containers.

Our present topic is WW2 and we are learning about the Belfast Blitz and evacuation. To help us imagine how an evacuee must have felt we are watching a programme called Spywatch. We are going to imagine ourselves as evacuees and write letters home.

In numeracy we are learning our 2, 5 and 10 times tables.
