We are so proud of all our pupils this week and their efforts towards making 'Annie' such a huge success!
Welcome to Primary Five
The primary five teacher is Mrs Mc Hugh.
What a busy time we are having in Primary 5 this term!
Our topic is Forest Schools and we are working with Brian from NIFSA. Each week our lessons are outdoors. In week one we built dens using tarpaulin and bamboo sticks. Week 2 was equally as exciting, when we made bug hotels. We cut elder trees and whittled the bark off using potato peelers! Then we pushed the sap out and tied them together. They are placed around our school grounds -if you can see them camouflaged in the undergrowth! In week 3 we went for a walk up to the waterfalls where we saw primroses and smelt wild garlic. When we came back to the site we made 3D shapes using sticks and tape. We all can't wait to see what the next exciting lesson brings.
Check out the phots below to get a snap shot of what we are doing through Forest Schools.
Along with this we are continuing with our writing where we are learning to write a news paper report.
