University of Ulster – Formula 1
On Monday a team of Primary 7 pupils represented St. John’s Primary School at the University of Ulster as part of the Sentinus Young Innovators Project. The pupils, along with children from other Olderfleet Primary School, demonstrated how the competition operates. This is the first time Primary School children have been asked to do this and we are very proud that our children were chosen to take this role.
Prizegiving will take place in St. John the Evangelist Church on Thursday 22nd June at 12.30pm. The guest speaker will be Brian Poots and everyone is welcome to attend and invited afterwards to the school for refreshments.
Primary 1 children had a great opportunity this morning to practise cycling stabiliser free out in the school playground. Many thanks to Johnny from Sustrans and parents who came along to help pupils achieve this milestone. P6 and Primary 7 also had the opportunity to practice cycling skills.
Please ensure all pupils are in school promptly on Monday morning as buses will leave at 9.30 am. Children must wear their school uniform and bring a packed lunch for the trip.
