Today Primary One learned how to make their very own smoothies using fresh fruit, yoghurt and orange juice. The children worked in groups to pick a selection of fruit they would like to try in a smoothie, they cut it up and put it in the blender along with yoghurt and orange juice. The children watched it blend, counted out how many cups they would need for their table and shared it equally. They then had to use their coins to pay for their smoothies at the Smoothie Bar, this incorporated our World Around Us and Numeracy.
