St John's Primary School, Carnlough

Welcome to P2 with Mrs O’Neill and Una.  We are delighted to be back to school in term 3!!

There are 22 children in our class.  The boys and girls are absolutely loving being back and we are well and truly in to our classroom routine after the long break away from school.

This term the children are learning about ‘Under the sea’ which allows us to use our beautiful outdoors, beach and harbour during our school day.  We are learning all about the animals that live in the sea in our area and around the world and are having lots of fun while doing it!.

The topic is also linked to our Literacy work where the children are writing recounts, stories, facts and information on stories linked to the theme. Our phonics work is continuing too with the Jolly phonics programme.

In numeracy we are continuing to try our best with our number work, shape and space, handling data and measures.

Keep your eye out on our page for any photos and updates of what we have been up to!😀
