Welcome to P3 with Mrs McGarry, Catherine and Una!
The boys and girls have settled into P3 really well and they are more than ready for a busy term ahead!
During this first term, the children will be exploring and learning across all areas of the curriculum through our topic ‘Home Sweet Home’.
Within the topic, the children will be learning about different types of houses, houses in the past, materials used to build houses and houses around the world.
In Literacy, the children will learn how to write recounts using detail, understand and use punctuation in writing, complete comprehension activities and learn new sounds, tricky words and spellings.
In Numeracy, our focus will be on number work, 2D and 3D shapes, handling data and measures, and we will link our topic to our activities.
