St John's Primary School, Carnlough, Ballymena

Primary 6/7

Welcome to Primary 6/7 with Mrs O'Neill, Annette, Nicole, Catherine and Shauna.

We are delighted to be back for another year of fun and learning!

We are looking forward to a busy year ahead.

Throughout term 1 our class will explore the topic of 'Chocolate.'  In this exciting unit, children will learn about the history, production and cultural significance of chocolate as well as experiencing the production for themselves in an educational visit to 'Chocolate Manor' in Castlerock.

Within literacy, children will be given opportunities for character analysis, creative writing, descriptive writing, poetry and lots more through the class novel 'Charlie and the chocolate factory.'

Throughout term 1 in numeracy students will enhance their mathematical skills through engaging in practical activities, problem solving and reasoning and embedding concepts within number, shape & space, handling data and measures.

Keep checking our page for regular updates!
